2nd DSDnet Training School 2016
The DSDnet Training School 2016 was under the topic: “People with DSD: holistic care and research through the lifespan."
The Training School took place from Thursday 6 October to Saturday 8 October at the “Camplus Living Bononia” in Bologna, Italy as a postgraduate level course.
It aimed at professionals in their early stages of career, both from a medical and a scientific background to convey the best of knowledge regarding developmental, medical, social, and also societal aspects about basics and people with DSD. 30 trainees have been invited who were supported by grants to cover expenses for travel and accommodation.
Trainers came from a broad background of basic science, clinical science as well as the support groups and provided plenary sessions, case presentations by trainees, discussions and break out sessions in smaller groups for active participation and learning. As one activity of our COST Action, this Training School aimed to maximise the exchange of ideas and knowledge between participants and to strengthen network building with new collaborations between all countries involved.
